Looking for our New Zealand textbooks?

Haese & Harris Publications is a small, family-owned publishing company specialising in Mathematics textbooks and accompanying software for schools and students.
Our business began in 1979 when Bob & Sandra Haese with Kim Harris, all of whom were practising classroom teachers, started work on their first textbooks. These books, typed on a typewriter with hand drawn diagrams, were published in 1980.
Modest beginnings, but teachers were quick to recognise the quality of the content in these early, unpretentious publications. Second editions were published in the mid-1980s and 3rd editions followed in the early 1990s. Some of these same books are now in their sixth editions.
In 2004, we launched new textbooks for the IB Diploma Mathematics courses and we have been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response to our books from teachers in 2000 schools spread across 120 different countries around the world.
In 2008 we launched a complete middle years programme for international schools and in February 2009 we published a new book for the new course ‘IGCSE Cambridge International Mathematics (0607) Extended’.
To all of you who are using our books, we say thank you for the confidence you have shown in our publications. We love hearing from you and we welcome all feedback, especially suggestions to help us improve the books we publish.
We continually strive to improve the range and quality of our books. We now publish a complete range of Mathematics resources for students in primary and secondary schools, from Year 4 to Year 12. The production quality of our books is on a par with the highest international standards and our books are accompanied by the latest in educational software specially designed by Haese & Harris for the teaching of Mathematics to young students.
In educational software, our latest initiative is ‘INFINITY: Test and Homework Generator’. INFINITY enables teachers to customise questions from its database to create an almost infinite variety of questions for everyday exercises in class, for homework, or formal tests and exams; and as a question is changed, the software automatically generates the fully worked solution. It saves hours of preparation time.
The outstanding characteristic of our company is an unrelenting commitment to produce the best possible resources for mathematics education in schools.
Welcome to our website. We would be very pleased to hear from you.
